“We Are Seven” by William Wordsworth

A conversation between a young girl and the author about her seeming innocence surrounding death as she insists that, despite the loss of two of her siblings who lie in their graves, they are still seven. The poem examines the relationship the girl has with the deceased since she does not appear to distinguish between those who are alive and those who have passed on.
